In a firm response to recent hostilities, Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet has denounced the attacks carried out by Houthi forces on civilian and economic locations in cities such as Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran. These acts have been labeled as aggressive, with the ministers underscoring Saudi Arabia’s entitlement to safeguard its sovereignty, citizens, and residents from such assaults. Additionally, they have condemned Houthi aggression targeting commercial vessels and international maritime routes in the Red Sea.
The repercussions of these attacks have been severe, with reports indicating that over 70 individuals, including women and children, have sustained injuries across various Saudi cities. In response, the authorities have been instructed to ensure that those affected receive the highest standard of medical care possible.
During a meeting chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah, the Cabinet also turned its attention to developments in the Palestinian territories. In this context, they reviewed ongoing Arab initiatives aimed at curtailing Israeli actions in Jerusalem and the expansion of settlements.
Further discussions at the meeting highlighted the Crown Prince’s recent engagements with leaders from Egypt, Greece, and Oman, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s continued diplomatic efforts in the region. Moreover, the Cabinet expressed approval of a new agreement between the Saudi and German foreign ministries. This agreement is set to establish a strategic dialogue to enhance consultation and coordination between the two nations, signaling a strengthening of bilateral relations.
